Where Have All The Leaders Gone

It is truly sad to read the daily news these days. One wonders how much longer the republic will stand with such foolishness going on with our leaders. All too often we are all playing the blame game and not really trying to work together to preserve the greatness that is America. I am carefully avoiding finger pointing in this blog to keep on point. And……the point is we have so much wonder in our own back yards that I think we just forget what the true joy of a free America offers and why it is worth putting down pettiness and coming together to preserve our future. My wish for us all this beautiful Sunday morning is that we can truly become one nation with liberty and justice for all.

  1. Now you understand why I don’t do much more than glance at the news.

    My take is that society was become quite “anarchistic”…. 😉
    Forget “country” – it’s about “me” now. Why?

    I think too much scandal at the “top” involving politicians of both parties, and big corporations; all putting their own narrow interests first. So of course the masses take the same attitude; why be suckers? This is not the country it was during WW2. If it was, you wouldn’t have needed to write this post. Whether that country can come back, I don’t know.

  2. We seem to be a country without ethical conscience at every level. Our culture is corrupt. I did not notice it so much until after the unity of 911 wore off. The slide show was good and well laid out……….reflective. Pictures sometimes do speak louder than words.

  3. When the news cycle is dominated by “Is Rush Limbaugh the leader of the Republican Party?” you know that we have serious problems. I don’t think that leadership is the problem. We are not lemmings. But it is the system that is broken. Capitalism is being exposed! Avarice is the root of the problem.

  4. ee People ARE the system; it is not a mechanical or technological manifestation. People elect and appoint leaders (private and public sector) whose number one priority should be to fix the economy, and they continue to play partisan politics or steal while Rome burns. It is a reflection on our morally bankrupt culture IMHO. The simple way to handle Rush is to ignore him but both parties are doing just the opposite. He isn’t dangerous if we don’t imbue him with authority.

  6. fn leadership crosses both aisles. There is plenty of blame to go round. Overall though a strong leader can not lead a gang of fools who should not have the authority to destroy our destiny. Rush is not a leader in any sense. Nor has he ever been elected to lead. Doubt he would ever run for office, it would cost him too much money.

    How can the American people overcome the hugh hole we have in competent leaders is my concern. I always thought we would, but now…….maybe its a product of aging, i can just see things clearer than when I was young and parenting dominated my life.
    Now it appears that we have no one in Congress that can do anything except partisan bickering. And the general population supports their fool of choice simply because they are a d or an r and condones criminal neglect of our nations future..
